What is  Soft Tissue Therapy?

Soft tissue therapy treats musculoskeletal injury and pain.  It is effective treatment for all sports injuries.

After an initial injury assessment, I provide advanced treatment techniques, remedial therapy and professional advice.

Sessions provided intend to enhance recovery, prevent injury and improve posture and function.

Assessment - a range of assessment methods are used to decide whether soft tissue therapy is appropriate.  Once determined a suitable treatment plan for the client will be devised.

Treatment - a range of muscle energy techniques will be applied to aid recovery from injury and to improve the joint mobility.

Rehabilitation - a range of remedial exercises maybe  advised which will aim to speed up recovery, prevent injury reoccurring, as well as improving posture, performance and muscle function.

What to expect?

Initial consultation- The first appointment consists of a full medical case history and details of any medication you maybe taking. A full postural examination may also take place.  A treatment plan will be discussed and a treatment will be provided if necessary.

What to wear?

During the postural examination, the patient may be asked to dress down to their underwear or sport shorts. This will allow a full evaluation of posture and help determine the potential cause of pain or injury.  After the assessment towels will be used according throughout the treatment. A professional level of respect is used at all times throughout the treatment.
